These events mean I can FINALLY sit on my lazy hams for once on a Saturday with my laptop. Like the good Lord intended. Hoooooray!
Combine that with the debut of Star Wars Rebels cartoons, and that means I have time to write a blog post, while half-watching the new awesome cartoon.
Lately life has been so busy I don't even want to open my laptop and be reminded of all the things I've been ignoring. I'm overwhelmed enough by the change of schedule, combined with random other normal life stresses that shouldn't be overwhelming me, but are. I have another appointment with my doctor Monday to ask her if NOT being full-on crazy is right for me. We'll see what she says.

I've been trying to get out and walk and stay active, and by that I mean my husband has been dragging me out by the hair. I need that sometimes, it's true, and I'm thankful he cares enough to fight our Comfy (lazy) nature and get fresh air and exercise. Even if it IS dark outside by the time we eat and get out for a walk.
|From our walks. That tiny sliver is the moon. If I zoom in, my phone makes things too pixely.|
(Probably can't pull that off because I also haven't gotten any groceries for days.)
In my defense I was more busy than usual this week. I watched a little boy from my daughter's school, who I may start watching full time thanks to my daughter's teacher recommending me to his mother.
I know, ANOTHER kid? Just what I need. However, we do need the money. I'm thankful to possibly be getting another paycheck, if his mother decides to take the job, because right this moment I'm wearing a
The new boy, should we be thankful enough to watch him, will keep us all busy, he's a boy with a lot of energy. The good news? He's the LAST possible body that can fit in my mega van and still get my daughter to school. So I couldn't possibly watch even one more. Nope. No room. Sorry. All FULL.

My kids aren't adapting well to not running around outside today, so that's all I have time for.
This post is a part of the best blog experience on the market today (?) the Ten(ish) Things of Thankful. Click >>here<< to play.
I'll do my best to hop around to the others, but I apologize if it takes me a long time. I'm easing back in to this blogging thing. I really stink at it right now. Thankful in advance for your patience!
I need to figure out a way to watch that show. I don't have cable...ReplyDelete
I would imagine they'll be online soon. They're on Disney now, but some wonderful soul will upload full episodes to YouTube at least. Always happens!Delete
I hope so!!Delete
If noone does it by Monday, I'll try. If all else fails, just Skype call me and I'll point the laptop at my TV!Delete
I have noticed your absence and I do miss your humor. I'm glad you get some time today to be 'Comfy'. But SNOW? For real? Jeez! I do hope you figure out what's going on with your stress and get it fixed up. I love the pic of the moon sliver. It's very Halloween-y. I hate that my phone takes crap pictures when I zoom too.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Sandy. I've missed you too, but I have been keeping up with the Sandy's on social media. I LOVE the blue you added to the tween's hair. I wish you were closer to paint my hair!Delete
My kids are obsessed with the moon, I'm always trying to get that great picture. We love seeing it during the day, but my phone is NOT having that!
No snow where I'm at, just hail and a furnace that refuses to come on. As much as I look forward to nice weather at the end of winter, I look forward to winter at the end of nice weather. There's something to be said for spending a few months indoors - at least at the beginning of it.ReplyDelete
I agree about the change of seasons. I'm sick of cold by the end of winter, and SICK of heat and humidity by the end of summer. I like the change, and the hibernation factor of the winter.Delete
We've actually been hoping for a hailstorm, ever since my sister AND their neighbor got their insurance to cover their hail damage. We will eventually (sooner rather than later) need a new roof and new siding. This last Polar Vortex winter was murder on both. We're hoping if there is a big hailstorm, maybe insurance will cover the new roof? I know, we're dreamers.
I hope the pace of life lets up a little for you soon so that Comfiness may rule once more.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Debra. I feel the need, the need for COMFY.Delete
Enjoy your relaxing day, Joy. The soup sounds tasty and making me hungry :)ReplyDelete
Thanks! I'll post the recipe link below.Delete
We're having a cold spell today too. It only got up to 87 today. Despite that, I totally want that F.O. Soup recipe.ReplyDelete
Ugh. Anything over 80 is UGH weather. I'll put the link to the recipe below. It's so good and easy to make, I wrote up a blog post about it.Delete
HERE is the recipe for French Onion soup, good any time of year. It's REALLY easy to make and delicious! Even THE BOY could make this:Delete
I hope your day in was a success, and that you didn't have to be too OUT there. All the best for Monday. I need to make a call then, to arrange a similarish kind of thing *sigh*
GOOD FOR YOUR HUSBAND!
And a bit of a double-edged yay about yon boy.
I'm STILL INSIDE! Haven't gone outside for one second today! Wooohoooo! And I TToT'd. Victory is mine!Delete
Yeah the extra kid, I know. But as you know PAYCHECKS are good!
Stay-at-home days can be so needed!ReplyDelete
Definitely! Especially after the super busy weekends we've been having.Delete
I love when things are cancelled unexpectedly and we end up with a weekend at home to do NOTHING. It's like a vacation! And if it's a rainy day, you have even MORE of an excuse to stay in your jammies the whole time. But snow? This early? That just ain't right.ReplyDelete
I misread the paragraph about you possibly babysitting another child as YOU were going to have another child. My bad!
My family loves soup. I'd make it in the summer, too, but it makes us sweat then.
I know. They said the last time it snowed this early in the year, the Cubs were in the World Series. I'm not a dude but if memory serves, I want to say that was around 1908.Delete
GODS NO, no more babies from this factory! We're already in over our heads :) at least the ones I watch GO HOME by 6:00.
Joy, take care of yourself now.....catch that breather when you can!!! Rooting for ya.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Michelle. It's hard with little ones, but we try.Delete
Cozy, comfy day at home. Sometimes I get out the bread machine. Soup and bread. Very comfy. Have a good week. Comfy shoes are important.ReplyDelete
That sounds great! Whenever I make bread at home, I've made the Red Lobster copycat cheddar bay biscuits, we all get bread-coma sickness from eating too much!Delete
We're about the comfy in Comfytown.
now why'd you have to go and use the 'snow word' (hint: rhymes with 'no frickin way!!!')ReplyDelete
Wasn't MY idea!Delete
FREE is my favourite word.ReplyDelete
I hope they figure out the reasons for your lack of energy soon. It's a terrible feeling when you have kids to look after and so much to do.
Loving the pics.
Thank you, yes it makes for very long days!
Yay for good docs and lazy comfy snow days! Although...sometimes trying to find stuff to do inside all day for little kids once they get sick of TV is hard...like we had 11 snow days last year and I'm still recovering. Seriously good job on getting out for walks even when it's duskish out - that's usually my excuse to say "oh well, too late."ReplyDelete
SOUP! and more paycheck and free shoes!! :) And TTOT! You win. Especially if you're still inside.
I had to actually go outside Sunday, but by then it was 57 degrees. My kids get SUPER BORED!Delete
Good to see you are getting to the doctor. I love your humor and have missed your blogs....ReplyDelete
New income is always nice.
At least now the weather dropped a bit here and we can go outside without dying of heat. Although I don't want snow.
You get the opposite problem, but also the humidity. I would never go outside!Delete
SNOW! SHhhhh.... Oh it feels cold enough outside today not that I plan on going out there because I don't plan on getting dressed today.ReplyDelete
That is a great plan for a Sunday! Hope it comes true for you.Delete
Sorry to hear you're so worn out lately, Joy. I hope it get's better soon. Also, high five to your husband for dragging you out (although not in the snow, obviously). I think that's really nice. My boyfriend is the same, there are some weekends where I would just sink in to the sofa and rot there until Monday if he didn't shove me out the door for a cinema trip or a walk around in the fresh air. It's nice to have people like that in your life :)ReplyDelete
Thanks. It may be thyroid-related, mine is broken. I also have symptoms of vitamin deficiency, despite eating fruits/veggies and taking tons of vitamins. Ugh.Delete
It IS nice to have someone who won't let me get lazier and lazier, which I would totally do if left to my own devices!
Mother effer, I had this whole entertaining / awesome comment and hit the sign out button by mistake. Now my brilliance is lost forever in the web of cyber space. I fricking hate that gotdamn sign out button.ReplyDelete
Anyway, Binch on thyroid issues. I am sick and tired of them <---See what I did there? And I am too annoyed to try to recreate my now lost forever awesome. sigh
UGH I freaking HATE that. It happens to me on my phone, and then I just want to THROW my phone against a cement wall. It's super hard for me to type out a message on a phone, then my fat fingers click on something not meaning to and my comment is gone forever. Then I can't even LOOK at my phone for the rest of the day, so no more blogs and I'm sad. This is my life right now. My laptop is too big and too power hungry to take anywhere and my phone is too small and my fingers are too fat for this world! OH CRUEL WORLD!Delete
Just woke up an hour or so ago... way too freaking early to sounds of pouring rain and very col wind...HOOPLA! Cancelled plans!!!!!ReplyDelete
Sometimes those are the best!Delete
